UFL Web Site Makes Some Quick Fixes

Published by Dave at 11:38 am under American Football

Since I wrote this post yesterday, the UFL web site has added a PDF box score and a 99-second highlight reel, which was taken directly from the Versus broadcast.

Plus, this popped up on the UFL’s Twitter feed:

Y’know, it’s almost as if someone other than Different Dave and Jeff actually reads this blog. Interesting. Perhaps I mention here that the league standings tab on the front page needs updating, too…

Hey man I noticed you said no one else follows this, but I have this bookmarked and read the UFL posts when they are put up….thoughts on the opening weekend?

Didn’t watch the Tuskers-Sentinels game, as Honduras v. USA took priority, but from what I saw, the quality of football wasn’t so terrible — at least on the offensive side of the ball.

There were some hard hits in that Locos-Redwoods game, too. I remember when the XFL tried to promote those kinds of hits, and players wouldn’t buy into it, because they were looking for NFL contracts and didn’t want their careers to end in the XFL. In this case, the UFL told its players they’re free to pursue NFL contracts after the UFL season ends, and they’re making those hits on their own to try and get noticed. Funny how that works out.

Interesting I caught some of the Thursday night game…..Bollinger and Losman were pretty good….Bollinger was probably the best of the weekend
