The Message of The Pink Shoes
The chill bros at Shutdown Corner reminded us earlier this week that this was the week the NFL was promoting the fight against breast cancer, and to do that, our pal Eeyore will be wearing these pink shoes on Sunday. We’ll also see pink gloves and towels, coaches in pink shirts, and probably some pink Gatorade, too. They’re doing this for you, ladies, because like me, they don’t want to see anything bad happen to that awesome rack of yours.

Of course, Cutler and Ribery are sending very different messages with their pink shoes. Cutler’s shoes are telling the world, “Breast cancer is a terrible thing, and you ladies should have your lovely breasts checked out regularly. By a doctor, I mean. Yeah, a doctor.”
I suspect ol’ Franck cares just as much about breasts, but that’s not what his shoes are saying here. Those shoes say, “I’m ugly as sin and I wear pink boots, and you’ll still love me, because I’m that good.” It’s a message of courage and self-esteem. I think that’s also a worthwhile message. Wouldn’t you agree?
