Two Things

Published by Dave at 11:47 am under American Football, Association Football

First, I’d like to thank the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for 1.) forgetting how to tackle and last night, and 2.) with the exception of Antonio Bryant, forgetting how to catch a football. That was quite pleasant to watch, and one day, I hope to write about it. (Sportz Assassin offers this recap at FanHaus.)

Second, the gang at World Soccer Daily has let me start blogging on their web site. You can see the early results here. I’m certain this will all end in tears one day, but for now, it’s something to do until I figure out exactly where my blogging future lies…

I love WSD. I’ve listening for about 3 years now.

Oh god too much bright green! Good stuff though.

On the non-soccer front, any thoughts on the Arena Football situation? I’d imagine that salary levels not entirely out of the MLS rear view mirror, combined with rent at NBA/NHL venues was ultimately not a good situation, stressing the independent owners and becoming a tempting target for belt-tightening by Tom Benson, Jerry Jones, et al. Throw in the fact that it’s a minor league BY DESIGN, and there you have it.

Will: Just posted about Arena Football, actually. It’s sad, but honestly, I don’t think anyone will miss it very much.

Way to go Dave. See if you can score some of that WSD/Steven Cohen/WhoAreYa tee-shirt graft!

The Bucs will acquire through FA and will Draft well and get the PLAYER, the PLAYER, the PLAYER and the PLAYER. Then GruAllen with all their new TOYS will lead us to land of GLORY, the Promised Land, the SUPERBOWL. The FANS in an insane PARTYING FRENZY will tear Tampa apart from one end to the other. / Cool widgets at statbeast.
