The Fresh Prince of Villarreal

Jozy Altidore is not on the UEFA Champions League roster for Villarreal, so he won’t get to play against Manchester United in Old Trafford today. Judging from his debut performance in La Liga, maybe he should have been on that roster. He didn’t score, but as you can see from that video, it’s really only a matter of time.

When Nihat Kahveci and Guiseppe Rossi get healthy and return to the lineup, does Altidore still get loaned out? Or will the Yellow Submarine keep him around beyond January? Hrmmm…

    It’s a real shame Villareal aren’t letting Jozy compete against ManUnited today. With Rossi and Kahveci out, why not let Altidore get a chance to shine. Yes it is only a matter of time before he scores, and Villareal definately needs him to put a spark in their game. I definately wish to see him play more in the future. But shit he’s still only 18.

    The only reason Jozy is not playing in the Champions League is because he is not eligible for that game. He is not registered with UEFA otherwise he would be on that roster, no doubt.
