Vienna Is Famous For Its Balls

Methinks the boys at Reuters Soccer Blog have started their heavy EURO 2008 drinking a little early. In this piece about Austria’s EURO 2008 preparations, they wrote this:

Culture reigns supreme in Vienna, famed for its balls, its classical music and art galleries.

I can think of a few porn stars and sports bloggers who are also quite famed for their balls. I’m not sure how classic music and art galleries tie into that, and maybe I don’t want to know. Those Austrians clearly have more free time than I do.

    I’m far too lazy to actually click the link and read the story, but I’d guess the balls in question have more to do with the Viennese waltz than the sporting or pornographic variety.
