How Competitive Can You Get?

Published by Dave at 2:57 pm under Australian Football

Melbourne Demons head coach Dean Bailey can talk all he wants about being competitive — and that’s exactly what he does in this video — but that won’t change the fact that the Geelong Cats are going to give his Demons a horrific beating on Sunday, will it?

That’s funny. I guess repetitive cliches are found in all codes.

30 points the margin in the end. It was crazy the hype over how big a flogging this was supposed to be. In the end the Cats cruised through it, but it was not the record margin many predicted.

I actually put $10 on the Demons winning. At 32 to 1 odds, I could have made $320 and figured it was worth a punt. For some reason, the Demons are always “competitive” at the Cat’s home ground. They got within 6 goals, which is a pretty good effort against the reigning premiers.
