Good news: I found someone who wouldn’t have thought I was crazy to suggest a year ago that the Carolina Panthers should sign Wes Welker to an offer sheet.
Bad news: Of all the people who might agree with me, it had to be this clown:

It’s like arguing about the decline of cinema and looking over to see Tom Green nodding his head in agreement. Sure, Steve Smith and Wes Welker could have been quite the duo, but the only other guy who would like put those two together would prefer to chuck the ball 80 times a game — completely ignoring that his team’s offensive line couldn’t stop a pass rush to save itself from a firing squad. It’s enough to make me think it was a bad idea after all.
Then again, even Mike Martz wouldn’t be around to agree with me if Kyle Turley ever followed through on anything. He’s all talk, that Turley.
