Only in the gridiron game do players celebrate scores by spiking the football. This may be why. Ouch!

I feel really sorry for the guy! As a quarterback he mustn’t get many opportunities to celebrate a personal touchdown. Damn, it looks like it hurt too! Was he trying to bounce it through his legs or something?
