Carlito’s Link Dump
Doesn’t it look like our guy Carlito is greeting this football like he might greet a girlfriend at the airport? “Come here and give Carlito a big fat hug, you gorgeous thing!” Never mind that he’ll be kicking her around again on Saturday afternoon. In this moment, it’s nothing but love.
Speaking of Saturday, we have a Rugby World Cup final, a full day of soccer, plenty of college football and probably a few CFL games, too. Football is all over the place, and so is this collection of links for your perusal:

On a completely unrelated note, don’t be a cheap bastard and get Radiohead’s new album off BitTorrent. Throw ‘em a couple of quid. Trust me, it’s worth at least that much.
And whatever football you choose, enjoy the games this weekend. See you at FanHouse.

Dave,
I can’t believe that you haven’t commented on “South Sydney Story” which has been airing on Versus. I may have missed a mention, but it’s a really good show. I’m not much of a Rugby League fan, but the show has some great moments.
Tony,
That’s because it’s been sitting unwatched on my DVR, tucked somewhere among a dozen movies, a couple of NFL Network specials on the Steelers, two recent episodes of Heroes, and the entire first season of Damages. This doesn’t include the dozens of movies and TV shows I have scattered around the house on burned DVDs, most of which is unwatched. That includes most of the first season of Dexter, a season and a half of Doctor Who, two seasons of Rome, half a season of Entourage — and I’m not sure that’s even worth watching anymore — and something else that I’m sure I’m forgetting because there’s so much stuff to watch.
Seriously, when the NFL season comes around, I’m too busy making media to consume any of it. Who has the time?
I did mention the South Sydney Story on Versus in several previous entries on this blog, as I knew there were some of you who would be interested.
It’s a good documentary, but yes if you already have a lot on your plate it isn’t “must see” right now, so I’m not surprised Dave has not mentioned it.
