According to Jason Cole at msnbc (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12889464/), the standard CFL contract allows a window in the winter for a player to sign with an NFL club. But I don't think a player could just go to the NFL after the Grey Cup. Of course, money changes everything, so for the right price, a CFL team could probably be convinced to release someone from their contract.
