We’re finally into the knockout stage for the 2007 Rugby World Cup, which means this competition finally might be worth watching again. With Malice serves up a full preview of this weekend’s quarterfinal matches.

I’ll just say this — if the pool winners don’t all advance to the semifinals, that’s an upset. Scotland might have a shot of advancing past Argentina, but really, that’s about it. I’m fully expecting only Southern Hemisphere teams to be left standing by Monday morning.

So there. Suck it, European rugby.

    I think you’re right on Dave…
SH rugby to rule the roost.

    Wilkinson is killing spectacle.
Logically to change 10 points for a try
5 point for a try transformed and 2 point for Wilkinson expertise.
Logic never works with traditions and business.
    Still hope
