Jimmy Bartel Is Your Brownlow Medal Winner

Published by Dave at 8:39 am under Australian Football

In case you missed it on Monday, Jimmy Bartel of the Geelong Cats won the Brownlow Medal, the award for the best and fairest player in the Australian Football League, on Monday. The above video comes straight from the ceremony, which was not boycotted after all.

In case anyone is wondering, I’m planning on going to the Grand Final party in Raleigh on Friday night. It’s a rare opportunity for me to watch an AFL game with other people who know what Australian football is, so I think I’ll take advantage of it — although given how late this game will end, I may need to get some Bawls.

Did someone say AFL Grand Final?
    Booya!
Enjoy the game Dave, let’s hope its a close encounter and that young Jimmy Bartel doesn’t continue the recent Brownlow/Grand Final hoodoo.
I’ve got $10 on the draw, so we can all come back next week and do it all over again.
