Dave’s Football Blog

I’m leaning toward retiring Dave’s Football Blog at the end of this season.

I’ve been contemplating this for a little while now, actually. It just comes to a point where you wake up in the morning and realize that something that was once a lot of fun just isn’t all that much fun anymore, and you see all these other opportunities out there. I’ve been involved in a lot of different things outside of football, and they’ve piqued my interest. It’s not by accident the other things that have happened to me in my life.

I know what you’re thinking. A lot of guys talk about retirement when they feel like they don’t have it anymore. For me, it’s not about that. I still feel I’m at the top of my blogging game. It’s about other things, things that have literally been in place for me for a while now. Ultimately, I just want to go out on my own terms.

I don’t think there are any definites in life. It’s too early in the season to say it for sure. But I’m leaning toward retiring this blog after the season. We’ll see what happens…
