Steelers sign #1 pick Miller
Heath Miller, the rookie tight end from Virginia, has signed with the Steelers for 5 years and $6.89 million, plus an additional $9.4 million in incentive clauses.
I’m feeling pretty good about this kid. The Steelers’ tight ends were good blockers, but not particular adept at pass-catching last season. Miller is already a better receiver than Jerame Tuman and may get a chance to start right out of the gate. Has Big Ben found his answer to Jay Novacek? I sure hope so…
